Feng Shui and Dating: Desire
I recently heard from a “married” friend that she wasn’t reading my blog because I’ve been writing a series on “Feng Shui and Dating.” My ego wasn’t too bruised, she has a great marriage! But do know, the knowledge I glean from my experience dating in 2010 and leaning deeper into the mysticism of Feng Shui, is beneficial for all… even if you’ve been married for 12 years or are on a dating sabbatical or experiencing a non-self-imposed celibacy. The topic is wonderfully universal for all people in, or not in a relationship … often times its not about dating at all. But don’t tell my editor. So dive in and enjoy.
You may have guessed from my blog posts, that I have desired a relationship for a very long time. I don’t want to count, so lets say twenty years. For twenty years, I would say the strongest desire in my heart was to attract my soul mate. Dang, that’s a long time. I was in and out of relationships over the years, but nothing ever stuck.
About a month ago I read this quote from Abraham/Hicks:
“You want the desire because it is the desire (idea or the goal) that is responsible for a good amount of Life Force to flow through you. The main event is the Life Force that is flowing through you, not the manifestation. And if you don’t believe us now, wait until that manifestation has popped, and realize that its power to draw life through you will be greatly diminished.
The desire for my sweet relationship has given me a rushing channel of creative life force energy coursing through my actions, intentions, prayers, hobbies, activities, work, etc. etc. That’s pretty cool. This desire encouraged me, inspired me and propelled me forward in my life.
And now, HE is here. Yup. I met a man. A beautiful man. We are officially one of those couples that when people see us they throw up. We are just that adorable.
“Holy snot!” as my friend Bob likes to say! HE is here and I am having an amazingly wonderful adventure getting to know him. “So what’s the problem,” you ask? There is no problem! There is however a new awareness or there wouldn’t be an article.
This manifestation of my long-term desire has popped with fun and romance and beautiful communication and excitement … so why does the rest of my life feel a little off? Confusing! I’m really enjoying spending time with this amazing man, but I’m also kind of, I don’t know… depressed?
According to Abraham/Hicks, that current of desire that I had for so long is no longer driving me, inspiring me, encouraging me. I seem to have a little vacuum in my heart. Seems I need a new desire to keep creative life energy flowing through me. Meaning, I really need to know what I want for me, for my highest good, for my life journey to continue to unfold in its magical way.
What THAT means is, I have to get very clear about what I want!
I have been hearing the message over and over again that the only thing I have to do is be clear about what I want and the magical laws of the Universe will move into action and create it. But I have to be totally clear, not wishy-washy because that creates wishy-washy in my life and in my business. Have you noticed how exhausting wishy-washy can be?
So how do I know myself? How do I get clear on what I want?
I look once again at the Knowledge corner of the bagua… the lower left hand corner of your home when standing in your front door. This area reflects the life value of truly knowing yourself so you can walk your life path confidently! I’ve written about my mess in this area before, and how I gathered all my spices and vitamins into baskets for more organization. That felt good! But it seems that I still need a boost in truly knowing what I desire. Do I want this or that or both or neither?
If you sometimes get confused or overwhelmed about life, your mission, or your purpose like I do, I invite you sit in your Knowledge corner for your meditation and to add a little FIRE to this area. The Knowledge corner is ruled by the element Earth, Fire creates earth, so you are now swimming in a constructive cycle of energy. Sit there and ask what your highest self needs and wants and start manifest from the soul level instead of our limited human level; ask for guidance. Ken Ludwig my spiritual counselor taught me the Show Me Prayer: “Show me the next step, light up my path so I can see it clearly and I promise to take that step!” Why wouldn’t you? If the next step is for the creation of the highest vision for your life, it must be a glorious leap!
I think I’ll light a candle before I sit down to meditate. Maybe I’ll sit on a red pillow and light a spark under my ass! I encourage you to do the same. Know what you want and when you are deeply clear within, just watch the magic of the universe unfold and give you a new heart felt desire to pull life energy through you!
I’m going to the store to find me a red pillow! Ciao!
Great Blog Nicolette! I am going to go light a candle in my knowledge corner right now and do a meditation.

| Posted 1 year, 9 months agoI have a question.
“I look once again at the Knowledge corner of the bagua… the lower left hand corner of your home when standing in your front door.”
When you say “…when standing in your front door.” do you mean facing in or facing out?
Appreciate any reply. Thanks for your lovely article and congratulations!

| Posted 1 year, 9 months agoThanks for asking for that clarification! The Knowledge corner is the lower left hand corner of the house when you are standing at the front door facing IN to the house! That’s much more clear! And you are so welcome. I am glad you liked it!!
Peace,
Nicolette
Hi Nic,
| Posted 1 year, 8 months agoYou’re SUCH a fun blogger! I’m so happy for your relationship. Interesting that you felt that vacuum feeling. I get it; it makes sense. Can’t wait to read your next blog on what you’ve done to rectify that issue, what your new focus and passion and desire has become. Bryan’s awesome. He’s lucky to have you, and vice versa! Love ya! ~Betsy
PS Thanks for being one of the couples that will give me that nauseated feeling, I knew I could count on you.
So glad you liked my last blog. New one in the works! Looking forward to reading your first blog too! Good blogging is in the family!!!
